The Lords Bridge,  Dilston,  Northumberland

As a practising artist I also have pleasure in painting many landscapes and this one is of special interest to me. This bridge once belonged to the Earl of Derwentwater who was beheaded for his part in the Jacobite uprising.  For all it' s history of bloodshed and unrest in the past, today it is a beautiful place of peace and tranquillity.
