A haymaking scene in the late 1950’s/early 1960’s before the advent of modern baling, pikes were made by the small farmer and moved around by a home-made device bolted to the front of the tractor. Haytime always seemed to have a dark cloud hanging on the horizon, willing the team to get the pikes in with haste. While the farmer sits with his bait, three playful collies pups play hide and seek with their mother while a skylark soars to the heavens, singing for all he’s worth. Happy days.
